This Saturday, Oct 7th, it's finally starting to look and feel like Fall!
We'll be doing the Distance Builder, and I'm planning on heading out on a portion of the original DFW Airport route we started back in 2001, right after 9/11...
It'll be about 40 miles, might involve two rest stops, and we'll plan to visit the eastern control tower turn around. With the cooler weather, we'll start stretching out the ride distances a bit now.....
If you've never ridden on the DFW Airport property, this will be a good place to start! Little to no traffic, and good pavement....
What: Distance Builder Ride: Old DFW route, approx. 40 miles, no drops, 14mph or so average.
Weather: Perfect....!
When: 8:00am start
Where: Preston/Forest, SW corner, usual spot.
We should be back to the parking lot about 11:30, even with the modest pace, and two short rest stops....
And! Prepare for a cooler weather start! I, for one, am looking forward to being a bit chilly on the first hour of the ride! Finally!.....
Thx,
Mike
