We’re changing up this monthly ride for March with a starting location of Glencoe Park and starting time of 8:00 AM! The ride will take us to a restaurant or brewery in Forth Worth for lunch. The route, which is shown below, consists of about 40 miles to the lunch stop, taking the TRE back to Dallas from the Forth Worth Central Station, and then a short ride of about 5 miles back to the start.
The ride will start at 8:00 AM sharp from the SW corner of Glencoe Park (Martel Ave at Northbound Central Expressway service road). Plenty of free on-street parking along Martel Ave. Expect to be back to Glencoe Park around 2:30 PM.
The ride is no drop but is intended for experienced riders who are comfortable riding on roads which can be busy. You should be able to maintain a 16-18 MPH rolling pace with an average pace at the end of the ride of 14-16 MPH. Speeds will be faster on flats and slower on hills.
We will stop as a group for any mechanicals or other issues. Please ensure your bike is in good working conditions and bring a flat repair kit. There is no SAG support so have a “back up plan” if your bike becomes unrideable. Bring liquids and snacks. Dress for the weather.
In the event that the ride is canceled due to weather, notification will be sent to registered riders.
